Hobe Sound is an unincorporated area located in Martin County, Florida between the cities of Stuart and Tequesta. It stretches along the coast and is home to Hobe Sound Beach, which is one of Martin County’s four guarded beaches. The Intracoastal Waterway flows through its length.
This gorgeous area of Florida has some of the most beautiful nature spots in the whole state. Visitors and residents love the pretty parks, beaches, and golf courses that populate the area. Hobe Sound is directly next to Jonathan Dickinson State Park where you can enjoy guided nature tours through the spectacular natural environment. The park is close to 11,500 acres and is home to 13 ecological communities. The Loxahatchee River winds through the park, which you can explore by canoe to catch a glimpse of the native wildlife. There is something here for everyone including horse-riding, biking, and hiking. You can even enjoy a picnic here and watch deer pass you by as you eat! And don’t forget to climb Hobe Mountain, which at 86-feet above sea level is the highest point in South Florida!
Blowing Rocks Preserve is another poplar natural attraction. The limestone formations here are the largest on the east coast and at high tide the water is forced through the holes in the rocks as high as 50 feet in the air! This spectacular sight is definitely not to be missed.
