Hutchinson Island is a beautiful barrier island on the Treasure Coast of Martin County with a natural beauty and teeming with wildlife and birds. From April to September you are sure to see the loggerhead turtles who migrate to the island to use as their nesting ground. The endangered manatee can be found in the Indian River Lagoon and you might catch a glimpse of whales in winter who come here to birth their young.
